The story is told by Quang Long with a series of random photos, in a chance he visited the upland district and caught two babies gardening to support the family.
Quang Long recalled: “It was a drizzle day in Ha Giang, the fog flooded the aisles and the sun kept coming out and then turned off, the space was sad and cold again.
From Dong Van town, I followed the mountain road to the capital in Thii Phin Cao. On the slippery wet rain road, zooming out into the distance, from above I caught two young people working hard in the mountains and hills.
I turned the car and went straight down to the two of you, bumpy rocky road, vertical mountain slope. Seeing me, the two of you were confused and kept my head bowed, and I approached and started talking.
The two of you seem to know very little Kinh so the conversation is quite difficult, I only know how to use body language to express. Soy and Cho are two names that I rewritten in Kinh, Xiao are male friends and Cho are female friends. Two Hmong friends, born and raised in the Ha Giang rocky plateau.”
