The pedestrian street and night market in Ha Tinh City were piloted during the holiday on September 2, attracting thousands of people to visit, shop and enjoy food.
From 6 pm on September 3, tourists from many localities poured into the pedestrian street and night market on Nguyen Huy Oanh street, the area near Tran Phu park square, Nguyen Du ward, Ha Tinh city. By more than 20 o’clock, the number of people reached thousands, crowded the whole street. The parking lots were packed, and dozens of traffic police had set up two-way barricades to guide vehicles.

On Nguyen Huy Oanh Street, the authorities arranged about 50 stalls, most of them covered with canvas above, divided into 4 main areas, including: stalls displaying local specialties and OCOP products (one product per commune per commune). ); typical rural industrial products of the province, consumer and souvenir stalls; food court, fast food; area for cultural activities, entertainment and entertainment.
The most crowded is the mobile businesses selling fast food and entertainment areas. Many children who were taken for the first time by their parents for a walk on the street showed interest when they saw the services of taking pictures with the masked man Ton Ngo Khong, witnessing acrobatic games, and performing music on the street. “Ha Tinh has few places for activities and entertainment in the evening. The opening of the pedestrian street and night market really brings a new breeze, so I feel very impressed and excited. Go for a walk and enjoy with friends. fast food, I feel like I’m standing on big streets with a long tradition in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi,” said Thanh Tam, 22 years old, living in Tran Phu ward, Ha Tinh city.
Leaders of Ha Tinh City assessed that the pedestrian street and night market not only contribute to promoting and stimulating consumer demand, but also create entertainment and shopping places for people, attracting more tourists to the area. After two nights of testing (from September 2nd) to date, it is estimated that tens of thousands of people have participated. As planned, the street and market will be open until the end of September 4, operating time from 18:00 to 23:00. After this time, the authorities will evaluate and learn from experience to reopen at the appropriate occasion.

The first pedestrian street and night market of Ha Tinh province was prepared by the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh city and Ha Tinh Department of Industry and Trade and planned to be piloted from the end of 2019. According to the plan approved in March, Ha Tinh city proposed 5 options to choose the location of the night market associated with the pedestrian street, including Ly Tu Trong Park Square; Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, the intersection from Phan Dinh Phung Street to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street; the area around the shore of Ly Tu Trong lake; N1-9 canal road at the intersection from Ham Nghi street to social housing area; Xuan Dieu Street extends the intersection from Xo Viet Nghe Tinh to the northern ring road of the city. Nguyen Huy Oanh Street was not initially selected.
